Dave Frisina started radio in college at Cortland State. He got in on the ground floor of 95X in 1978, where he worked his way up through overnights to middays, including positions as Music Director & Program Director. After spending 8 years at another local radio station, Dave is now doing Afternoon Drive on 105.9 The Rebel weekdays from 2p-6p.

Dave continues to host “Soundcheck,” (Sundays 9p-10p) a local show that he started in 1979. He has also added, “Soulshine,” (Sundays 10a-2p) a free form radio experience that is a special blend of hand-picked music. Dave has been nominated for Personality of the Year, Music Director of the Year, and Program Director of the Year by Billboard Magazine and has been inducted into the Syracuse Area Music Hall of Fame!

Dave loves playing lacrosse, basketball, frisbee and the occasional 5k run.

He’s also got a Yamaha VStar Silverado that piles up milage every chance he gets.
